Your canvas hideaway consists of three bedrooms, equipped with premium, unbelievably comfortable mattresses. You will find a spacious double bed, a cosy cupboard bed, and a handy bunk bed, ideal for up to 5 adults and a child up to 12 years old. Your kitchen is also fully equipped, guaranteeing the tastiest meals on your own wood-burning stove, and don't forget your own flushing toilet and private shower.

Excellent - loved the farm talks from Jayne, seeing the milking and the freedom to explore the farm estate. The boys loved exploring the woods, building fires and looking after the chickens. We really slowed down during our stay, enjoying no screen time and playing lots of card games.

A back to nature retreat with the comfort of an amazing tent. The wood burner made the tent warm and cosy. A huge thank you to Richard and Matt for their welcome. We really enjoyed the farm tour and seeing how passionate the family are about their farming. My boys loved collecting baby corn! Great pizza night and having warm croissants delivered to the tent each morning was a real treat:-)

A wonderful experience from start to finish. The location was perfect and the setting was idyllic. Kevan and Joy were lovely and very helpful. The water package was amazing - beautiful lake with deer and ducks. Our daughters said it was so fantastic they would like to visit every weekend!

The hospitality and the farm were excellent. Kate and James have thought about how to make the experience as enjoyable as possible for their guests. The honesty shop was really well stocked, the shower block clean and warm, loads of games to borrow and the barn for indoor games an excellent idea. The pizza night looked fab. A really brilliant farm. The log cabin however wasn't as expected. The tents are so well laid out with plenty of space. The ability to see outside from the dining table and sink area is a big part of it. The cabin is more confined. There's no hot running water in the kitchen sink which could easily be incorporated into the design. The bathroom sink is too small and it's very dark. Wood does not work in a shower cubicle and we ended up using the showers in the block. . Be prepared to climb over the end of the main bed as there's no space either side. Not all windows open so it does get stuffy. It is warmer though! We would book a tent next time if we returned.

The story of Feather Down Farms goes back nearly 20 years to when we opened at Manor Farm in the Hampshire's South Downs. Since then we have expanded across the country, from the tip of Cornwall to the Scottish Borders, from the mountains of Snowdonia to the Norfolk Broads.

Wherever you are in the UK, you'll find a Feather Down farm within 2-3 hours travel time from your home - the perfect distance for a short break to disconnect from every day life.
