Discover your perfect break with Feather Down farms

On a Feather Down farm stay, you are always surrounded by open landscapes and seas of rolling green fields. Undeniably, one of the best ways of connecting with nature is by exploring it, but why not get even more intimate and hands-on. Here, you are immersed in the working farm experience. With sheep, pigs, cows and goats in surrounding fields and meadows, there are often opportunities to meet, greet and feed these friendly creatures throughout your stay.

We were the first in the UK to offer tents with wood burners, flushing loos and proper beds, which started the 'glamping' trend around 20 years ago. Our cottages under canvas are a home from home, with the luxuries of private showers, cosy bedding and outdoor cookers, while being close to the great outdoors.

Animal farms

As working farms, there are often an array of animals located across our farms. These farms have a whole menagerie of different animals, giving you the chance to meet a number of different species at once.

Small-scale farms

Part of escaping to nature is getting away from busy crowds and the bustle of daily life. At our farms, there is often only 6 canvas hideaways, creating a small-scale and intimate feeling during your short break.

  • A maximum of 10 canvas hideaways at any one farm
  • Enjoy quiet time in nature without busy crowds
  • While we limit the number of guests, our farms can be extensive in size with plenty of space to explore
  • Meet like-minded individuals if wanting to socialise or keep to your own exclusive family time
