Escape to a simpler life with Barbara and Bernd
Discover the Hilserhof near Triberg, in the southern part of the Black Forest. This typical Black Forest farm is located in the middle of unspoilt nature, with dense forests and deep gorges. It is managed by Bernd and Barbara Wernet and their children Arijana and Tristan, together with Bernd's parents, Edwin and Paula. The pastures are grazed by the farm's 30 cows and three horses from late April to early November. The farm also houses 5 pigs, many cats, rabbits, goats, chickens, ducks and the farm dog Jack. The tents stand on a large pasture area, with a view of the farm.
The Black Forest experience
With the Black Forest guest card you will have free travel on public transport (depending on the season from Triberg or Gremmelsbach) and you will also get a free entry to many local attractions. The nearby Kinzig valley is ideal for cycling and there is a large network of mountain bike trails. Paragliding, high rope climbing, canoeing and Nordic walking are also offered. Interesting cities such as Freiburg, Strasbourg, Titisee or Baden-Baden can be easily reached by train.
What to do at Hilserhof
Prepare a delicious meal with fresh vegetables or sausage and meat products produced on the farm on your own wood-burning oven or outside barbecue. Have fun in the farm's own pond on the Hilserhof Alm or catch a trout. The children can accompany Barbara and help her feed the animals or groom the ponies. At the end of the day you can relax in the cosy hot tub before sleeping in your comfy beds. Each tent has a toilet and a private shower.
