Feather Down
Options & pricesDiscover Het Wesselink in Salland in Deventer, Overijssel. This dairy farm has about 60 cows that can choose when they are milked by the milk robot, whether they go outside or prefer to stay inside. Margriet and farmer Henk are happy to take you along into their life on the farm. Your tent is located at the edge of the forest, with an open view at the front over the meadow where the cows often graze.
In the middle of the holiday region Salland, between National Park De Hoge Veluwe and National Park de Sallandse Heuvelrug. Put on your running shoes and walk through the woods behind the farm. Buy Salland asparagus directly from the land in April, May or June. Nearby is also the cosy city of Deventer, where you can enjoy a terrace or visit a museum.
When you wake up in the morning in your comfy bed, take a look outside! With a bit of luck you will see deer walking through the meadow. Pick up fresh eggs from the henhouse and cook it on the woodstove and that makes a good start of the day! Walk with farmer Henk into the barn and he will show you how the milking robot works. Many calves are born here, so you can help out and bottle feed them! Go-kart through the forest behind the tent, build a hut or swing on the giant swing. There is an animal pasture with sheep, a meadow with ponies that you can groom and a cuddly barn full of rabbits. New for 2024 are two donkeys called Gino and Yara who you can take on a walk.
