Options & pricesLocated in a timeless patch of English Southwest countryside, you will escape the hustle and bustle of city life and discover the stunning peace of Mount Pleasant in Blandford Forum for your next family holiday. Close to Bournemouth & Weymouth, Mike and Anna will teach you all about their family-run farm, home to Hereford and Aberdeen Angus cattle, a flock of ewes, horses, pigs and a collection of poultry. Your canvas hideaways are in the middle of a glorious meadow looking out over your beautiful surroundings - the ideal spot for a Dorset family holiday.
If the farm isn’t enough to keep you occupied, Mount Pleasant is just a half hour from some of Dorset’s most beautiful beaches – Ringstead and Lulworth Cove being two of our guests’ favourites. The market town of Blandford Forum is just 15 minutes away, with lovely villages on the way and visit the Cerne Giant in by the National Trust. If you feel like venturing further afield, the ruins of Corfe and Wardour castles and the Purbeck Heritage Coast are all within 25 miles of the farm. There are walks such as visiting the Jurassic Safari for a stunning view of the coast and cycling possibilities aplenty – just ask Mike or Anna and they’ll point you in the right direction.
During the day, grab a cuppa and have a chat with Mike about his days growing up on the farm while the kids play around the meadows. There is no set day or time for a farm tour but he is happy to put on a farm walk for those interested in learning more about UK farming and in Dorset. Uniquely, you can also bring your horse to stay with you, with stable accommodation available at the farm too. Breathe in the fresh country air as you take a vigorous walk towards the farm’s nearest hill at Bulbarrow, and breathe in the fantastic view from the tallest point in Dorset. Or you can simply relax by your canvas hideaway and observe the wildlife going by, you may spot a bat or swallow in the evening. Borrow the firepit for toasting marshmallows or round off the day by firing up the outdoor pizza oven on-site and drink in the blissful setting before you retire to your cosy bed, a perfect end to a perfect Blandford Forum family holiday.

Meet your hosts
We are the Miller family and we run our farm with a little help from Spud the sheepdog. Mike was lucky enough to be brought up at Mount Pleasant along with his older brother and sister.
Looking forward to welcoming you to the Dorset peace and serenity at Mount Pleasant.
