Feather Down
Options & pricesDiscover Hollings Hill in Herefordshire, one of the original tried and tested Feather Downs and much loved by journalists. The Daily Express being the last to give the farm a great write-up in 2021. Only an hour’s drive from Birmingham, the farm is the ideal spot for a family holiday & glamping in the Malvern Hills. There are Holstein-Friesian cows and ponies at the farm where Austin and Faye and their four children will welcome you. One of them, Freddie has a small flock of ewes that lamb in April around Easter.
If you’re looking for an active holiday, there are plenty of things to do beyond Hollings Hill farm, including walking and biking. There are also visits to spectacular sites like Great Malvern Priory or Eastnor Castle, and to the town of Malvern itself with its famous spring water and shops selling antiques, arts and crafts, and old books. The view from the top of the Malverns across the Wye Valley and over to the Cotswolds is rated one of the best in England. There is also Ledbury, the local market town which is the place to head for independent gift shops, cafes and antiques or head to Tenbury Wells and Upton Upon Severn, all just a short distance from your holiday in Herefordshire.
Why not come and watch the cows being milked? The whole Knowles family is looking forward to giving you an insight into the way they farm here, and from the moment you arrive, they’ll see to it that you are well looked after. During your stay, you’ll have unlimited use of the stew pot. As well as wood-burning stoves in each canvas hideaway, there is a rustic outdoor AGA-style cooker for relaxed al fresco meals before you turn in for the night with your comfortable bed. If you want some added luxury, there's one hot tub available next to one of the canvas hideaways (subject to availability). There's nowhere better for a family holiday in the Malvern Hills.
