Richard and Lycke
Richard and Lycke turned an old dairy farm, which was active until 2002, into their dream location. They bought the site two and a half years ago and have lovingly expanded it in recent years. Their farm is located between the nature reserves of Appelscha, bursting with biodiversity with sheep, goats, chickens, pigs, horses, ponies and donkeys.

Near the beautiful Appelscha in Friesland
Appelsche Farm is located in the quiet Fochteloo, near the cosy Frisian town of Appelscha. Appelscha is a true paradise for outdoor sports, with hundreds of miles of hiking, cycling, mountain biking and horse riding trails. The routes go through several adjacent nature parks, such as the Drents-Friese Wold, one of the largest nature reserves in the Netherlands, and the Fochteloërveen, an area that borders the UNESCO World Heritage in Veenhuizen.
While enjoying all this nature, you can also visit the Duinen Zathe Amusement Park or the Prison Museum, both of which are nearby. After an active day, you can return to the tranquillity of the farm, where you can fully recharge.
