Your canvas hideaway consists of three bedrooms, equipped with premium, unbelievably comfortable mattresses. You will find a spacious double bed, a cosy cupboard bed, and a handy bunk bed, ideal for up to 5 adults and a child up to 12 years old. Your kitchen is also fully equipped, guaranteeing the tastiest meals on your own wood-burning stove, and don't forget your own flushing toilet and private shower.

We had a wonderul time at East Shilvinghamtpon Farm - it was wonderful to go off grid and slow down. The kids made friends in neighbouring tents and we loved the alpaca walk and morning chats with the goats. Pizza night was delicious and it was a great location to visit Dorset with wonderful beaches and national trust sites.

We had a wonderful weekend. It’s a bit of a cliche, but it really did force us (and the kids!) to put down our phones, light some candles, build a fire, read our books and play some board games. Just what we needed.Being given responsibility for the ducks and chickens was an unexpected bonus. My 12 year old daughter absolutely loved that.

We have been to Layer Marney many times now and go almost annually. We love it because the site is beautiful with so much to do. We love how the tents are arranged, the deer, goats, chickens and other animals, the incredible Tower and fascinating ancient Church. We love the play areas (even for teens!), shop and cafe at the Tower. If there is a wedding on we will have a dance to the music drifting down and have been treated to 'free' fireworks too! We've even managed to watch a show there. It has become an essential yearly family break, even more important to us now or children are older!
